These are available in single & double stage and are oil sealed, rotary vane type positive displacement pumps where, not only complete assembly is immersed in oil but shaft seal is also designed in such a way that it totally eliminates the possibility of suction of air through it.
In industrial models, or in vacuum pumps of higher capacities which are operated continuously for very long spells of time the oil gets heated either on account of friction or on account of heavy intake of hot mixture of gas and vapours, the performance of the pump drops. In order to keep it cool, a jacket is constructed around three sides of the pump housing, in which water is made to circulate for keeping the temperature of vacuum pump under control and retaining the performance at its best. In this model an inbuilt device, known as Gas Ballast is provided, which effectively checks to a large extent condensation of the water vapours which otherwise would not only had contaminated the oil, but had also diminished the performance of the pump.

These combine in them the two-fold features of suction and pressure and hence the same unit can be employed for either function. When used as vacuum pump, they can create vacuum up to 710 mm (28” Hg) provided the temperature of the sealant water is below 30 °C & barometric pressure at site is 30 Inches of Hg.
Generally, the main casing & almost all the components are fabricated from C.I. except the main shaft, which is of MS / EN-8. However, it is also offered in various combinations of resistant materials for specific applications. Details are supplied on demand.

PROMIVAC TWIN CHAMBERED IMPREGNATION PLANT
These double chambered continuous Impregnation plant are specially designed to ensure high quality of Impregnation at a much faster rate than that of the conventional type. Here, both the chambers, in turns can be used as Impregnation as well as storage tanks where by, we not only get increase in capacity, but also save on time as well. Thus in a way this full-fills the duty of a bigger plant. The tanks are fabricated from M.S. plate of appropriate thickness and are fitted with leak proof lids with handles. Two viewing ports are provided on each tank for observing the process under light. Each tank is provided with a vacuum gauge, vacuum line valve and air leak valve. At the bottom, Impregnent admittance valve, drain valve and inter transfer valves are provided. The unit is mounted on angle iron stand for facilitating smooth and easy operation.
Promivac double stage high vacuum pump driven by most reliable electric motor is supplied with each unit to create vacuum of required degree.
A specially fabricated liquid trapping cum filter assembly is incorporated between the vacuum pump and chambers to check the backflow of oil and Impregnent in case of sudden stoppage of pump due to failure of electricity or otherwise.
Thermostatically controlled heating arrangement for chambers can also be provided if desired for achieving better quality of Impregnation. Heating helps in driving out the gases trapped in fine pores and capillaries of the components or lying in between the layers of windings. It is also good for maintaining optimum viscosity of Impregnent.

‘PROMIVAC’ Sludge Suction Pumps are specially designed and fabricated to satisfy the ever increasing demands of municipalities and contractors for their employing them for cleaning the chocked sewage lines, emptying septic tanks and disposal of the accumulated sludge from the manholes and mobile toilet units by suction.
This powerful Suction System with added benefit of being able to pressurize the tank for fast emptying is the integral part of a Cesspool Emptier or a Honey Wagon - the large tanker lorries / trolleys specially designed to suck contaminated waste out of Cesspools, Sewage Tanks, Portable & Airplane Toilets and carry it to a suitable disposal point.
These Vacuum - Pressure Pumps are available in various capacities and models suiting permanent fixation / supporting on a trolley or for mounting right on the chassis of the mobile tanker into which the sludge / sewage is required to be sucked. In the latter option, the pump can be made to run with the same engine, which is moving the tanker i.e. vehicle’s PTO or Split Shaft PTO. Apart from this, the pump can also be made to run with the help of an electric motor or a diesel genset.
A float valve system is also supplied with the pump which ensures termination of the further suction when the tank becomes fully loaded preventing thereby overflowing of the sludge. The Four Way Changeover Valve which is supplied with the pump makes Suction of the sludge smoother and its forced disposal quite quicker. Both these operations are made possible through same Single Port of the tank.
