Both these operations are made possible through same Single Port of the tank.

The most revolutionary characteristic of this pump is that neither the pulley is employed nor the coupling is used to rotate the propeller of the pump, which moves the liquid or the chemical. Motor is fitted in a separate casing and so is the pump. When the motor starts rotating, the pump automatically starts working in its own casing and starts pushing the liquid. 

It not only sounds but looks like magic but it is only a technique, which Promivac has adopted. The liquid does not come in contact with the shaft hence no chance of corrosion, irrespective of the gravity of its aggressiveness. Leakage, of course, is out of question.

These are flange mounted self priming type, compactly designed Pressurising Gear Pumps fabricated out of graded CI material. These are manufactured from good quality food grade SS-316 and are also available with steam jacket. Their Trilobe design & timing gear drive enhances the performance of the pumps and are popular in diverse industries because they offer superb sanitary qualities, high efficiency, reliability, corrosion resistance, and good clean-in-place and sterilize-in-place characteristics. 

Lobe pumps are similar to external gear pumps in operation in that fluid flows around the interior of the casing.  Unlike external gear pumps, however, the lobes do not make contact.  Lobe contact is prevented by external timing gears located in the gearbox.  Pump shaft support bearings are located in the gearbox, and since the bearings are out of the pumped liquid, pressure is limited by bearing location and shaft deflection.

Rotary lobe pumps are non-contacting and have large pumping chambers, allowing them to handle solids such as cherries or olives without damage and are also used to handle slurries, pastes & a wide variety of other liquids.  They also offer reversible flows and can operate dry for long periods of time.  Flow is relatively independent of changes in process pressure, so output is constant and continuous.
